Crypto to fiat

Cash out crypto to your own bank account

Self-custody usually ends at the edge of the crypto economy. To turn holdings into money your landlord accepts, you send them to an exchange, hand over custody, wait for a withdrawal, and hope nothing is frozen. ZenWallet settles to your own bank account from a wallet you control.

No custodial hop

You are not depositing to a third party and asking for it back. The sale settles out of the wallet you hold the keys to.

Your account, your name

Proceeds land in your own bank account rather than an exchange balance you then have to withdraw again.

Same wallet, both directions

Buy with card or transfer through ZenPayz, and sell back out through the same rails.

The gap self-custody wallets normally leave open

Most self-custody wallets are excellent right up until you need actual money. At that point the standard advice is to send everything to a centralised exchange, which reintroduces exactly the counterparty risk the wallet was supposed to remove.

It is a strange arrangement. You take on the discipline of holding your own keys, and then hand them away at the one moment that matters financially.

How ZenWallet closes it

Cashout is built into the wallet through ZenPayz fiat rails. You choose the asset and amount, see the quote, confirm, and the proceeds settle to your nominated bank account. Custody of the remaining balance never leaves your MPC key shares.

The same rails work in reverse for funding: buy with a card or a bank transfer, and the crypto arrives in your own wallet rather than an exchange account you later have to move it out of.

  • Sell from a self-custody balance, settle to your own account
  • Buy with card or bank transfer through the same integration
  • Works alongside gas paid in USDT, so a stablecoin-only wallet stays fully operational
  • Three security profiles govern limits: Everyday, Trading, and Vault with multisig

What to check before you rely on it

Fiat rails are jurisdictional. Supported countries, currencies, settlement times and verification requirements depend on where your bank account sits, and they change. Check current coverage for your region inside the app before you plan around it.

Cashing out is a taxable event in most jurisdictions. ZenWallet is not a tax service and does not file on your behalf.

Common questions

Can I withdraw crypto to my bank account without an exchange?

Yes. ZenWallet settles sales to your own nominated bank account through integrated ZenPayz fiat rails, so you do not need to open or fund a separate exchange account.

Does ZenWallet hold my funds during a cashout?

Your balance stays under MPC key sharding until you approve the sale. The wallet is self-custody; the fiat leg is handled by the payment rail once you confirm.

Which countries and currencies are supported?

Coverage depends on the fiat rails available for your region and changes over time. Check the supported list in the app for your country before relying on it.

Is cashing out taxable?

In most jurisdictions, selling crypto for fiat is a taxable event. ZenWallet does not provide tax advice or file returns; keep your own records.
