A Trust Wallet alternative with nothing to write down
Trust Wallet is one of the most widely installed self-custody wallets in the world, and it still hands you twelve words to protect for the rest of your life. That single design decision is the reason most people who lose crypto lose it. ZenWallet replaces the phrase with split keys and layered recovery.
No recovery phrase
Your key is split into encrypted shares that sign together and never combine into a single copyable secret.
Recovery that survives a lost phone
On-chain guardians, WebAuthn biometrics, email OTP and TOTP instead of a piece of paper in a drawer.
Gas without native tokens
Pay fees in USDT on Ethereum, Polygon and BNB Chain rather than topping up three separate gas balances.
The seed phrase is the vulnerability
A recovery phrase is a single secret that grants total control forever. Anyone who photographs it, screenshots it, phishes it or finds it in a drawer owns the wallet, and there is no revocation, no rotation and no support line.
Every mitigation people are told to use, metal plates, split storage, safe deposit boxes, is really an admission that the design puts an unmanageable object in an ordinary person's hands.
What changes with MPC key sharding
ZenWallet splits your private key into encrypted shares held in separate locations: your device, our infrastructure, and a backup recovery service. Signing happens by combining the shares mathematically without ever reconstructing the full key in one place.
There is nothing to write down because there is no single secret to write. Compromising one location does not compromise the wallet.
| ZenWallet | Seed phrase wallets | |
|---|---|---|
| Secret you must store | None | 12 or 24 words, permanently |
| Result of losing it | Recover via guardians and factors | Funds are gone |
| Result of it being seen | No single secret exists to steal | Total loss |
| Gas payment | USDT on Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain | Native token required |
| Fiat cashout to your bank | Built in | Usually via an exchange |
| Business multisig | Vault profile | Usually a separate tool |
What you give up
Honest trade-off: a seed phrase wallet is portable in a way MPC is not. Twelve words can be imported into any compatible wallet on earth, which is genuine freedom and a genuine reason some people will never switch.
With MPC, your recovery depends on the provider's infrastructure being available. ZenWallet mitigates this with multiple independent recovery factors, but the property is real and you should decide with your eyes open.
Common questions
Can I import my Trust Wallet seed phrase into ZenWallet?
No. ZenWallet does not use seed phrases, so there is nothing to import into. Move funds by sending them to your ZenWallet address on any supported network.
Is a wallet without a seed phrase less secure?
It is a different model. A seed phrase concentrates all risk in one secret. MPC distributes the key into shares so no single location holds enough to move funds, at the cost of depending on the provider's recovery infrastructure.
Which chains does ZenWallet support?
Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Polygon, TRON, BNB Chain and TON.
Does ZenWallet charge for swaps?
There is no ZenWallet fee for sending, receiving or swapping. You pay the network cost, which on Ethereum, Polygon and BNB Chain can be settled in USDT.
